quick update...

Hey yall! I recently got a facebook, and kinda like that better than xanga. Oh well, I'm still here occasionally. I started work this week in the critical care unit. I absolutely love it! God has blessed and directed me in amazing ways, and I couldn't have hoped for anything better. Still trying to get used to working 12 hour shifts. Zzzzzzzz  Please keep my parents in your prayers as they have recently started working with a local prison ministry. They teach weekly Bible studies and character classes in several prisons in the area. The people they are ministering to have so many needs, and are so hungry to learn about the things of God.

ups and downs

 Hi everybody,

This past week has been one ups and downs. I found out last Saturday that I passed state boards and received my licence in the mail. God was so good because the test was very difficult and I'm so grateful to have it behind me and be an official nurse. What a dream come true! Someone reminded me how to do the pics on here, so here's some from graduation. The bad news is that my computer crashed a week and a half ago, and I found out tonight they were not able to save anything. So the pics I put in my album are all I have left. I'm absolutely devastated with everything I've lost and am trying to put my "life" back together =)

I'm taking 12 credit hours of summer school in 8 weeks which finishes August 1, then I start orientation to my new job. I've been hired on at the cardiac critical care unit at Baptist hospital downtown Little Rock. Cardiac was the last place I was interested in when I started school, but that unit has such a great atmosphere, and is the best area to gain experience as a new nurse and I'm thrilled about it.

Ps. 37:4 Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.

please pray!

Hey yall
For some reason pics didn't turn out right on my blog, so they're in my photo album.
I'm taking my licensing exam on Tuesday. Please pray! It's a huge test.
Have a great week, and a wonderful 4th of July.

Hiking!

I had Wednesday off this week (yipee), so Mom, Dad, and I went hiking. We went to Petit Jean State Park about an hour and 20 minutes from our house. It was so much fun! The weather couldn't have been better. It was a perfectly clear, mid-70s, breezy day. (sorry northern friends I did say 70 degrees!... you'll get it soon) Plus, I'd just gotten my new Canon camera a few weeks before and got to take it for a test-drive or a maiden voyage, whatever you want to call it.

kinda looks Narnia-ish

It was a wonderful day to do something other than sit in a window-less classroom!  I never knew a place like that exsisted in Arkansas. God's creation is so amazing.
